I have posted before wanting to build a computer, as you might have read I was a complete noob though. Since Christmas and my birthday is in the next month I'm going to put me a system together. Here's what I have picked out so far,

GIGABYTE MOBO-MA770T-UD3P
BFG TECH PSU-GS 550
AMD CPU- PHENOM II X3 720
SEAGATE HDD-500GB 7200RM 16MB CACHE
XION CASE- AXP100

I have everything else I need besides a GPU which I was thinking maybe a gts150? Please suggest some cards for me I have a price range of 120 dollars for a GPU I want one to be able to play most games but not a power sucker. Also need RAM I know I need DDR3 suggestions on this would be helpful. Suggest ideas or better items for the same price thanks!

Alright thanks for the suggestions, do you think that mobo is alright or is there anything else better in and around that price range of the gigabyte?

Yeah, the 770T is a good single slot board. New type mosfets, 10 phase power setup. Would have liked a cooler on the mosfets, but 80 bucks, what can you say.

I will be using the computer for allaround task, and some games, i'm dont going to be playing anything serious games like sims 3, left for dead 2, etc..

Yeah it looked decent It will be more then enough for what I will be doing.

That board will do anything a 790 board will do other then running crossfire.

There is a DDR3 Asus board around that price. But it only has a 4 pin CPU power connector, and the layout of the board is kinda screwed up. The IDE port is turned sideways and the Sata ports are cramed above the PCIe slots. The Giabyte is the better board.

Yeah I'll go for the gigabyte. Hmm what do you think run xp with this system and dual boot with linux or go with windows 7?
