computer build

Their is a good possibility that I will be building a desktop computer for a friend who uses software to designs picture for cars to apply on the entire car, similar for car shows or even NASCAR. Would I need a high end independent video card to support this graphic design software? I'm pretty sure a fast reliable CPU and memory will work great for this type of work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i don't think you would, you can let him use it without one for a little while, then if he wants one afterwords then just grab like a hd5670 for ~70 bucks, that should be more than enough.

jonnyp11,

I found out what the software that's going to be use to print out vinyl material to put on the entire cars via plotter, is called Onyx. You still think the HD5670 is more than enough. I spoke with the designer and they're getting the monitors configured so that they have the correct colors displayed upon their while doing their designs.
