ok so I am completely new to this and I have no idea what kind of brand or model of anything i should buy. I just want something that can run stuff like team fortress 2 and xcom and stuff but is also in a $600 price range.

Sounds like you want a gaming computer, not sure it is possible for that amount of money..

U R STUPID

That's a good budget and actually more than i paid for this (of course i got a few used parts and good deals)

Do you live near a microcenter?

Will post a build for you in a while, need to reset my router so my internet is fast enough to load newegg

got distracted by Dishonored (game) and lunch, doing something atm and will post build within the hour.

free 20 off on origin code!

I wouldn't ever take a Celeron if you have 600 to spend. Go with an i3 like Fury suggested or if you are willing pay more, go with an i5.

is would be better but barely get a 7750 with the celeron for the budget if windows is included, and wolfe had one and said they game fine, since sandy is so powerful. also why i said to upgrade to a i3/5 fist thing then work on gpu after that. remember that 600 usd is only 373 pounds.

Still wouldn't ever get a Celeron, at least get a Pentium. Fury's build with the i3 was better. If the OP could spend 100 bucks more it'd be great.
