Computer Build

Looks like a decent rig bro. I was thinking about getting the same CPU :P
What are you going to be using the rig for?

I've looked at that cooler before, and I'd wait before buying it. I was going to buy it, but in the reviews they said that it didn't work in a lot of cases/motherboards. I looked at the measurements, and it would have just barely of covered up one of my RAM slots, so I ended up passing on it. Once you get your motherboard, center a CD case (the exact size of the cooler) over your processor, and see if anything over laps. Particularly, watch out for your RAM and PSU.

Yeah you are right looking at it, it does look awefully big, i may look at something else..better safe than sorry ;\

But thanks guys for the help im glad my time spent on searching 15 gazillion parts wasn't wasted.

1. Apevia PSUs are junk. Grab an XClio Goodpower 500W. Cheaper and much better.

2. For the price, I'd prefer a Core 2 Duo E6400 & Gigabyte 965P-S3 over the AMD based build.

3. Switch the video card. X1550s are, well, terrible. Don't let the 512MB of Video Memory fool you. At a similar price, the 7600GT is much better, although if it's a gaming machine you'd get better performance by downgrading the CPU to an E6300 or X2 4200+ if you stick with AMD, and grabbing a 7900GS or X1950Pro.

Actually im building it to sell, I already have an alienware computer. Looking to get a profit out of it $_$
Do you have a buyer lined up? Selling prebuilt PCs (i.e. not built to spec in consultation with customer) can be quite difficult, particularly if you don't run a business.

I see. I normally prefer to respond directly to the asked question. Most posts drag on and get boring. :-)

id drop it down to an e6300, everything else looks good

thats a price difference of 35 bucks why not just go with the bigger cpu? ;\ even if it will never see its full potential like i said its just 35 bucks hehe

Looks better, aside from the PSU. That Solytech built Apex is in the same league as the Youngyear built Apevia. 7600GTs don't draw much power, I'd go for an XClio 450BL or the Goodpower I mentioned earlier.
