I was thinking of buying the XPS 8500 by dell for $1099. Not a hardcore gamer, but I would like to run the latest games such as Diablo III and BF3 at medium to high graphics with good fps. So i was just wondering if you fellows here can tell me if this desktop is powerful enough or can someone suggest something more powerful for a cheaper price. Thanks guys!(zero computer building experience btw)

Yeah, I was thinking about building one, but like I said I have zero experience with building computers and neither does my dad. And what components of the Dell is cheap. And it would be awesome if someone could link me the parts to build a computer that is around the same price but more powerful. Thanks

Build one for cheaper! ;)

The one im trying to build now is just one step under yours for nearly $420 cheaper!

I got some help on here deciding on one and im saving a whole bunch... comes out to about $680.53 USD

The Dell likely uses a cheap power supply and motherboard. You don't want to skimp out on either of those components, especially not the power supply.

Thee are plenty of videos on YouTube which will teach you to build a PC, and you can ask for help here too. :)
