Hey guys

Just signed up and i am looking for some help with ym computer.

Ok I play a game called Battlefield 2 On my HP Pc. The Pc is a 2.8 1.5 GB of memmory, Dvd writer CD rom combo. Now heres the problem

Ok When i click on the icon for Battlefield 2 on ym desktop, the program begins to run, but about one second after an error message pops up saying that I need to insert the disc to play the game. Well the Game is in the Cd rom. Also This seems to happen for all cd's i put into my computer. I opened up the comp and checked all the connections but everythign seems allright

another thing i found was that in the add hardware wizard function if lists a small exclamation point nect to both of my drives?

so at this point im desperate... help pls :)

well to solve the problem of the not being able to the game, check gamecopyworld.com to see if there's a no-cd crack, as far as the drives, click on the little exclamation marks and see what they say and post that

Check the cable which attach's your drives to the motherboard. Unplug them and plug them back in tightly to make sure they have not come loose. My father in-law had this prob. during the X-mas holidays and his computer never moves. However I unplugged the drives and checked the pins etc. Plugged them back in and it worked fine.

It might help if you go into Device Manager and disable/enable or uninstall/reinstall the device. If you double click on it in Device Manager it should give you a little info about what's wrong with it. Perhaps see what happens with only one of the CD drives installed.

I would Uninstal the drive through windows through device manager and then reboot. Windows will add your optical drives again when it restarts.
