ok.

me and my brother both play world of warcraft.
we play on the same server.
have exactly the same computer, graphics card etc

but he gets alot better performance compared to mine
i lag alot, i mean ALOT, he barely lags and if he does its only for a spilt second
im pretty sure i dont have adware/spyware/viruses/malware etc
and we have virtually the same FPS (30)
 
If you have XP, before you boot up the game press the ctrl+alt+delete command and check to see if you have any other programs that are diverting some of your CPU resources...
 
no im not on a wireless network, ive done that dciscouts, ill run all three for you ripken and no i do not have any P2P networks currently running.
and jeez how do you guys reply so fast

Anyway, since you pulled up that window, was there anything out of the ordinary in the processes tab? (forgot to mention that part last time) Oh, and click on that CPU column twice to see which programs are using the most resources...
 
click the user name tab and see what ones are under ur name,all of the other ones are processes that need for xp,give us a screen shot of it with ur name sorted
 
nothing out the ordinary, system processes, ie, etc
how do i get rid of system tray bubbles, thats taking away a bit of memory
 
You can also run msconfig from the run screen in the start menu. Then shut down any non-essential programs that are starting up with your computer...
 
sort it by user name and give us the pic of the processes with ur name on it, but im pretty sure that u have no problems with it so far
 
try sorting it by the CPU usage as well, there are a few items that can't be seen that look like they're using either 14 or 34% of your CPU, I can't tell for sure, the resolution of the picture is kinda fuzzy...
 
defrag it with diskeeper, otherwise there isnt anything else that u could rly do

just b/c 2 comps are exactly the same doesnt mean that they will perform exactly the same
