computer crash with plasma tv

hi all
i bought a new 50" plasma tv, i connected my computer and loaded a game (grid) that went well but when i tried to load a second game (fuel) the screen started flickering in a loop that forced me to shut down manually, after that i couldnt start my computer or even reach the bios screen, i tried disconnecting hard drives and other hardware while triying start each time but no use. i have to mention that after connecting the first time the picture wasnt steddy, like the refresh rate was wrong when actually everything was o.k refering to definitions of screend driver. could it be that the tv is to much for the power supply to handle (although i cant see the connection)?
does anyone familiar with this problem or have any idea why it happened?
comp specs:
‏Core 2 Duo E8400
asus motherbord ‏P5QL-E
graphics: radeon ‏HD 4850 512MB
power suplly: thermaltake ‏TR2 Power W0101 550W
4 gb ram memory
thanks.

Nah the 4850 can handle it fine this happened to me when I tried to play the new batman demo when I cutmy computer off a picture wouldn't come back up. I reset the CMOS and it fixed everything. It was probably just the game I would try it again and see what happens if it does it again then I would get my money back for the game.

thanks guys, i gave the motherboard to vendor for checkup, see what they say. but why the picture of the desktop after connecting wasnt steddy? doesnt it suppose to be like on regular lcd comp display? that was befor the crash, can it indicate hardware malfunction?

Have you checked the cable? It sounds either like your GPU may be overheating or you have something set wrong with the resolution/refresh rate.

checked everything and all was fine, could it be insufficient power?
although tv doesnt demand power from computer.

As you said, the television wouldnt be drawing power. How do you have your system connected to the tv? DVI, D-Sub, S-video, Component, or HDMI?

no, i dont have hdmi output on gpu and i dont have s-video input on tv, so i dont think i have much choice.

problem solved!
vendor reset motherboard cmos and i connected the computer with dvi to hdmi cable to my plasma tv, picture is stunning when playing games! even better than a console.
thanks guys for your help, i realy appreciate it.

I knew that was what it it because I to play on a TV and when that happened to me I just reset the CMOS. Actually I think I mentioned it in my first post you should have tried it would have been quicker.
