Computer crash

I've had this problem 3 times now, today, 2 days ago, and 4 days ago, where I'm just browsing some sites (not any bad ones or ones that can crash your computer) and my computer completely freezes.

I've been thinking it's maybe my CPU but I had mine at 3.3 for longer than a week and I only started having problems 4 days ago.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

You'd be surprised what can happen down the road with OC'in, I had exactly what your talking about on my old rig, I just backed it off a bit and it ran fine.

Def. not overheating, maybe the the GHZ is too high but it's supposed to be stable. 3301 MHZ, 213 Bus, 15.5 multiplier

I never had the crash in games hmm

I believe I know what the problem is, and it's happening more often.

The day that the resets started happening, is the day I got an error with my HDD, which caused me to get the BSOD. I managed to boot in safe mode, run chdsk and scandisk, and fix the problem. Since then when browsing firefox (dunno if its just a coincidence) I have been getting full pc crashes and I have to reset manually (by pressing the reset button).

Also since the first or 2nd crash, I have been getting a screen right before I get the windows login one, it was something about Windows scanning my DISC D and saying it's recommended to do so. I accepted and it just ran CHKDSK and normally booted afterwards.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
