computer crash

i am helping my brother fix his computer. it is an acer aspire one (that miget computer) well any way the microsoft windows xp screen shows up the one with the bar goin from right to left then this blue screen shows up and its just a flash. not long enough to read it. the the computer reboots on itself. he is leavin tomorrow (5/2/09) so plz help as soon as possible

If it has a one-touch recovery system, try and restore it back to manufacturers settings with that.
If not, you could try and boot windows off a flash drive and Repair it.
Try and see if you can boot into safe mode and apply system restore settings if you can.
