computer destroyed??? :(

I think the lesson here is, sometimes the answer is right infront of your nose, espically if something burns up, smell for it. It typically can be obvious what the culprit is if it burned up. Nothing smells worse than burned transistor.
 
Finally got back my gpu a couple days ago. took some time, but I updgraded from a hd 6950 to a hd 7950 for free xD. it works like a charm, and is even faster than my previous card. I can finally do more than just watch TV shows. :D
