computer doesnt power on!

Hey, i just finished building my new pc today, i put all the parts together and everything then it was the time to power on so i connected all the cables to the fpanel(coupla times, had trouble figuring out the +/-) anyways i connect them then when i press the power button i could hear the power go on for a split second then it just shuts down. what should i do to fix it? i could provie pictures if needed.

Make sure your PSU and everything is correctly connected double check it, maybe look on the net and print some pictures on how it should look.

Replace the PSU.

when i connect the power to the pc the usb lights go on for a sec, its just that when i press the power button nothing really happens, it doesnt really turn on

Change PSU or motherboard.
