I built someone a computer a few months ago and it has now gone wrong for them. They thought that leaving a computer near a radiator was a good idea so it has drawn in all the warm air and fryed the thing.
I think there is a problem with the CPU but I need to check that nothing else has been damaged in the process.
When booting the computer up it will begin to load then cut out and then start to load up again. The computer beeps once, before coming up to a screen saying the the CPU has changed or something. F1 to continue, Delete to enter setup. Pressing F1 starts to load the computer taking it to a Start Windows Normally, Last Known Good Configuration, Safe Mode screen. The keyboard fails to work at this point so it counts down to Start Windows Normally. When it boots this up it checks the registry and clears out a few corrupted files. Then it restarts, then begins to beep indicating a CPU error. I checked and reseated this several times with no success. The computer will also no always boot up and will cut out randomly at several points.
Any advice for me?
Thanks,
Oscar
