Computer Fails to Start. Help!

This is a sort of continuation on my topic here http://www.computerforum.com/175244-built-new-computer-blue-screen-startup.html

My computer was having troubles because my memory was improperly configured in the bios. so i fixed that, but unfortunately still had to reinstall my computer due to corrupt system files. Now, with my computer reinstalled, I get a new blue screen, it flashes too quick to get the error code, but it noticed it said "check you have the latest bios installed". Sooo I went to evga's website, got the latest bios for my evga x58 sli le, and installed it via usb.

Now when i start the computer, midway through the loading windows animation i get a split second blue screen flash, then it restarts, and my computer tells me to go to windows startup repair. In startup repair it says the root cause is that "a patch is preventing the system from starting" error code 0x490.

so whats the deal here?

Try starting in safemode and doing a system restore. or repair install.

Tried safe mode, it blue screens. Tried going into startup repair, I did a system restore. Still blue screens.

And I still get the error "a patch is preventing the system from starting"

I had never gotten anything like this until I installed the latest bios. So obviously I've screwed up somewhere with the bios. I just don't know where.

Where might I have gone wrong?
