Computer Fan at back.

Hey guys, lately my computer has been making a loud noise, then going quiet, then doing it again and just keeps doing that. So I checked the back fan and it seems like it isn't working, all it does is move a little bit then stop and goes back, like it is stuttering. What should I do ?

My card is a 5870.

Could it be a temperature controlled fan? I don't know though cause what it does is moves a tiny bit, then goes back so it stutters. Will my computer overheat if I let it run for a while? Is it that there is to much dust in there or something? or is it that the psu is connected to it properly?

If the back fan isnt working, could be causing the inside to heat up and making the CPU/Video card fan to flog up and down more then normal to keep them cool. Open it up and make sure it connected firm, if so and its still not woking right replace it. Plus check for dust while you have it open.

Ok guys, how important is the backfan? cause I can still play games without it having much fuss, but I mean if it is important I'll force the case open ;D...
Thing is though, does that fan cool the GPU cause on GPU-Z software thing, it says the fan is moving at like 25%-50%.

How important is the back fan though? a friend told me it doesnt really matter if it is running as long as the compopnents inside are under 60 or so degrees?

BUMP.
So is the back fan important for the computers health? if I don't fix it will it eventually blow? or should I just make sure it doesn't get too hot (like over 65 ?)

It helps to cool the system better, but looks like your PSU unit sits at the top of case. So, it should be pulling air out also.
