Computer Fan Noise

The fan on my computer has been running very hard. I don't think the computer is anywhere near over heating because the fan comes on hard right after I turn on the computer.

I did install a new video card about a month ago...maybe it has something to do with the fan running so hard?

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem???

mostly we face computer overheating problem.and we ignore that.
at last computer out of work.
u check system setup.and conform the fan is on.
if fan ON then change it .maybe dist damage ur CPU fan

The GPU shouldn't have anything to do with the on board fans, assuming they are the ones running hard. GPUs typically have their own fan speed controllers independent of the motherboard.

Check in the bios. See if there's some setting that might control when the fans come on/how fast they go/etc.

Oh, and something else. When you were installing the card, did you reconnect any fans you may have disconnected correctly? None connected to say a molex power connector rather than a motherboard header.
