My computer fans use to be blue now i look at them there turning a nasty black colour with fluff,

Do i have to get me mum to clean these every week or something? whats with the dust

which fans? dust can make things hotter. if it's cpu fan then yes clean it with condensed air with the computer off and unplugged. if it's case fans then it's up to you.

i'd say once every 4 months would be good. but if you live in a dump then clean it more often

a huge percentage of dust is dead skin cells

I clean the interior of my pc like once every 3 or 4 months myself. if its getting dusty inside really fast, you could consider putting the computer case on the desk next to your monitor or so. (assuming its on the ground now) that helps a lot for the pc to not suck so much dirt in :)

I would recommend cleaning it out with a paint brush - just brush over everything and you should haven't have a problem.

But at the least every 2 months it should have a clean out

I blow mine out as often as I dust my desk - about every 1-2 months. I keep my case off the floor, so it stays pretty clean, but it's nice to blow it out anyway. To get the sticky dust off the fans, I unscrew the fans from the case and use a Q-Tip on them and that works fine.

I use air conditioner filter foam from the hardware store as filter material for my CPU fan duct and the case fan that blows in, and the fans still get filthy. The interior dust that still manages to get all over everything on the inside is very, very fine, so I still have to blow the PC out every few months with canned air.
