Computer Fans?

I built my rig about 6 months ago and its running fine. Its got an Intel Core 2 CPU 6420 @ 2.13GHz, 2046 MB Ram. I bought 2 fans off of ebay about a month after I built the computer and I read on a post that when a guy puts his CP on standby for the night he switches his fans to medium or low. My fans are pretty loud so I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to switch my computers to medium or low?

alright thanks man. that seems easy enough. i just hook the power to this and my fans to this and just turn the knobs right?lol. il be ordering the better of the 2 right after i post this.

Pretty much yeah. You can get more advanced ones too with media displays, temp displays, and whatnot like This.
 
I've got the Kama meter, not only very functional but it looks good as well.

It's got 3 windows and I do like it. Fits on the desk very nicely and for an mATX fits everything inside quite well.
