Im Buying a New computer and the case im getting is The antec sonata 3
It only comes with one back fan. How many fans would i need to run a good computer?
 
I run 6 fans....160mm 3 120mm and 2 80mm.

You can run it with no fans but your temps will be much higher with such poor air circulation.

Best way to get good air flow is add a 120mm to the front as a intake. Long as you have a nice unblocked front to back air flow temps will drop by 5-6c easily.

Worst case you can leave the side panel off your PC....does the same thing cept no fans need to be added :)
 
What parts are you using? Generally 2 fans is enough for a regular gaming PC (no overclocking). You'd probably want to add a low rpm front fan to create a wind tunnel.
 
If you're running a computer with bad ventilation and a hot video card you could also invest in a slot fan. However, if you're going for a silent build I would suggest just getting a new case if you have to resort to a slot fan. I've gone through 3 different slot fans and they were all the largest part of my computer by far.

Put another intake 120 in the bottom front. That should help alot. If you want anymore you will have to cut out some fan holes. The back and front are the only 2 precut fan holes.
