Computer for general use and World of Warcraft (budget)

Can someone recommend me a decent desktop that suits general internet usage, and would be able to run WoW smoothly? I'm shooting for less than $600 if possible, but I guess that's a long shot. I'm not playing anything other than WoW so super gaming capabilities aren't really needed at all.

Well... for prebuilt you could not buy anything from one of the big companies. If you wanted pre-built you'd have to buy something from CyberPowerPC or iBuyPower. If you want a higher quality machine (at a lower price than OEM) You should always build something yourself.

I think it would be less costly and more efficient of a pc, especially for gaming, if you built it yourself. I have found the companies that do special order prebuilds tend to charge a bit too much per part, and as a result they can't match the price to performance ratio that diy builds provide. You can price out stuff on Newegg/Tigerdirect/etc vs cyberpower/alienware/xoticpc to find out the bottom line differences. Before you do though, you must know what you are shopping for partswise. If you go the diy route make sure to check google products, ebay, and pricewatch for the best deals.

Your are deffinately going to save money building it yourself. I went to a website, and put in the parts I am ordering for my new system, and it wanted over 2 grand. I payed just over a grand for the parts!
