Computer freezes at Memory Test and HD Test

Hi Experts

My computer which is Dell Optiplex GX280, freezes frequently so tried to perform the following checks.

> Checked the Vents and Fans working fine.
> Tried to do Hard disk test and it freezes after couple of minutes.
> Tried to do Memory Test and it freezes after couple of minutes.
> Reset the BIOS and tried above test but NO luck.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated?

Disconnect the hard drive and try testing the ram. If everything works ok then you have a bad hard drive.
 
Has it always done this or did this just start recently? You might want to try replacing the memory and trying again. If it still freezes then you have a mobo or hardware issue.

It just started couple days since Monday this week, let me try replacing the memory and re-run the test.

Whenever I do memory test or HDD test the computer freezes within few minutes (less then a minute).

Please advise?

I have changed the memory and performed the test but no luck.

Any suggestion as what is the cause for computer freeze?

Then you have a hardware issue somewhere. You might have to take it in to get it diagnosed.

The machine is old so it is worth to take in for diagnosed.

Is there are any steps I can take to fix the machine manually?

I was thinking of the following that could help to assist.

> CMOS Battery Replacement.
> Disable Video Card on board and Use an external Video Card.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated?
