Computer freezes on boot-up

My new computer freezes when I boot it up, it beeps once to let me know that the POST has been completed OK but it never gets any further than the boot screen. Could this be due to my PSU not being powerful enough as I only have a 500W PSU with a 12V rating of 18 amps but for my graphics card I need at least 26 amps it recommends. My spec is below. Any help would be appreciated.

ASUS P5N-E SLI
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
2 x 1GB Corsair XMS 2 PC2-6400
EVGA 8800GTS 320MB Superclocked
Western Digital 200GB HD

since you double posted, check my response to your other thread, i had the same problem using the same components as you

Yea sorry I double posted but I thought it may not be the keyboard not responding and it might be that the computer is freezing up because it doesn't go past the boot screen and display all the computer specs etc... Thanks for the help anyway.

UPDATE: Tried re-booting with one stick, and just as Cleric 7x9 said it booted up fine, once Windows has installed I'm gonna configure the timings. Thanks a lot, I owe you one.
