Heya, ever since i had my custom built computer, i was very happy with it, although when i play 1 specific game ( World of Warcraft), it tends to freeze once in a while (about 1 time per 4-5 hours of play on average). What it does exactly is, just randomly, my screen freezes (you can still see color and just how it was but it just freezes), just like a screen shot, and it stays like that for the next 10 seconds or so, then it just restarts itself.
This does not happen with another game i play for example : Counter-strike, but i know for a fact that counter strike is a less CPU demanding game.. World of warcraft is much more advanced and uses up most of the ram etc.
What i have tired was: replacing the 2 sticks of RAM with 2 different ones, updated all the graphic card drivers.. and putting a different power supply ( but same Wattage), and still the same problem.
My computer specs are as follows:450W Power supply, Quad core CPU @ 2.4 ghz, 3.2GB ram (2 sticks). 320GB western digital (WD3200AAJS-00VWA0). 32 bit windows xp pro. Nvidia GT9500 512mb... if you need any other specs please tell me how to find them.
so do you guys think its the power supply? should i just go ahead and buy a 550W one?
ALSO, With these specs, if i buy DDR3 ram, will it be compatible to work? thanks.
