Computer Freezing

Ok so i recently bought a E8400 cpu and it was running great for a couple days and now everytime i try to watch videos or anything my computer freezes and i have to power down, heres my specs, also i have a H55 corsair water cooler

Hey there. What power supply do you have? Have you also updated your motherboard BIOS?

If you have overclocked anything, remove the overclock and go back to stock settings.

overclocked to 3.6 but put everything back to auto/stock, and how exactly do i update my mobo bios?

i have a ultra 750w psu

Look on XFX's website and see if there is an update for your board and follow on their instructions on how you update it.

Your power supply isn't the best quality by the way and could be the cause of your crashes.

ya so i cant find a bios update anywhere, their site is fricken useless lmao
 
Now that you've got everything back at stock are you having problems? Make sure any auto overclocks are disabled too. Just keep the CPU and everything else at stock.

What settings did you use to overclock your E8400 and what cooling were you using on it?

its been on stock for a week and a half, i dont remember the exact settings when i overclocked it the highest voltage was like 1.32 and fsb was like 1.25 and i was using my corsair h55 water cooler
 
Have you checked your RAM with Memtest86?

I think your problems could be caused by your power supply or your memory most likely. I would also say that your overclock could have been causing it but it's been on stock settings for a walk and a half I kind of doubt that. Were you having problems before you overclocked?

i had 6gb 2x 2gb ram sticks in that were bad so i took them out now im stuck with 2gb 2x 1gb's and ive tested them and they passed. i didnt really have any problems with it when i overclocked besides it failing prime95
 
I would suggest then that your power supply is possibly bad. Updated all your drivers too?
