Computer gaming vs console gaming

So recently I convinced my buddy to build his own PC, the only reason he is hesitant is because he wants to know the advantages and disadvantages of PC gaming vs console gaming. So I'm just looking for more advantages as well as the disadvantages.
 
RTS games are better on PC (IMO)
FPS games are better on PC (IMO)

And I mean better by its more comfortable to use a mouse and keyboard for those particular style of games than a controller.
 
It's all personal preference, I tried FF whatever it was mmorpg on my xbox when it came out, it sucked. I tried a few mmorpgs on the computer and they have been awesome. I tried halo wars which was a RTS on the xbox, it was okay but on the computer you have more control, FPS are the only close call, I like using the xbox controler but then again you can use an xbox controller to play on your computer so.. I choose PC gaming?
