computer in bedroom dangerous?

How about fire hazzard? Short cirquits.. psu saying poof. I have mine running when im at school or work.. so i have absolutly no control then.

with my old P4 it was a very good heater, there was alot of heat coming from the PSU, and that heated my room up several degrees.
 
Your room must get really hot with 4 computer, with just 1 in my tiny little room, its HOT! I have to turn it off at night.

Hehe night temps now are -5 to -10C, turn the heat off and open the windows :)

You should always stay at least 2feet/60cm away from the sides or rear of a running monitor if you're there any appreciable length of time.

It been awhile since i smashed open a CRT but correct me if im wrong, the lead is at the sides and back?

Yeah room temperature goes up a bit, but it goes up even more when you have 5 people lanning in there at once

Try 12 ... not only do i have to worry about heat (we did it in august), the circuit breaer didnt like us very much :P

So no they are not dangerous in the bedroom unless you are looking at porn and your wife wakes up.

I have to feel sorry for people who can't sleep because of a little noise from their computer. Lord knows, it's a lot quieter than trying to sleep on an aircraft carrier.

Hehe i feel sorry for the neighbours who cant sleep cuz my speakers have been off for a total of like 40 minutes since i bought them 8-9 months ago :P

haha, you think thats hot? try 2 computers, a projector, and 2 sterio systems that run most of the time cause im too lazy to turn them off:D
 
My computer is under my bed. I can't sleep with it on because even though the fans aren't extremely loud, they are loud enough. It is also my case lighting. I have two red LED bars on the side that are extremely bright and my power/reset buttons are bright blue too.

And wow. I didn't notice the date until you mentioned it.
 
It's alright, my PC sits next to my bed and I often turn it on in a morning before getting up, it's done me no harm...
