Computer is booting itself

Title says it all.. the CPU and Vid Card aren't overheating, nor is the MB, atleast I think. Any ideas?! Happened twice tonight, no idea why.

I take it you mean turning itself on without you hitting the power button?

Go into the BIOS and make sure all the Wake On events are disabled.

That's what it sounds like. There's a little wire between your NIC and your motherboard. When you get a command over the 'net, it bypasses everything else and powers up your computer.

Perhaps you could explain your situation a little more? I assumed that you meant the computer was turning itself on when it was off, without you hitting the power button. Obviously that's impossible if you're on BitLord at the time (as the computer would need to be on for you to use BitLord).

I believe one of the bitlord files I was downloading was corrupted or something, and my computer would shut down only when trying to download the file. I deleted it and dl'ing off BitLord now, and it's running fine.

Ok.. now it doesn't auto reboot, instead goes to a blue screen about corrupted files.. I don't give a shit if they're corrupted, I want to play.. anyway to disable this shit?!

I think there's some corrupted files in WoW's Patch.. not sure why Blizzard would give out corrupted files, but apparantly, I'm not the only one.

I'd start be reinstalling the program. Does it only happen when using WOW? If not, what's the error message?
