Computer is freeze and mouse can move.

I never have before my computer was freeze and mouse can move.

When I turn on and open window. I notice it is freeze and I try click any icons and I cant click startup. I want to know what cause? my computer is 6 years old. I cant find any what's wrong. I looked desktop back have 'diagnostic light' ABC is green and D is yellow. I reading my Dell Owner's Manual book say other failure has occurred: Ensure that the cable are properly connected from the hard drive, CD drive, and DVD drive to the system board. I just looking any loss or bad wired and I cant see any bad.

But I looking internet about this. Most say CPU is overheating? My CPU is very heat and hot

My 500 GB hard drive is new last years.

If you dont understand what I talking about it. Let me know. Because I am deaf and not good english well. Thanks
 
So what your saying is, windows freezes but you still can move your mouse.

Have you tried to boot into safe mode and see if it still freezes.

If you can get into safe mode run a Virus and Spyware scan.

What temp. is your CPU running at?

Or buy the code its giving. Bad /loose cable or bad drive.

I have Cd Virus and Spyware scan but wont let me.
I try use safe mode is no freeze still fine.
Where can I find Temp for CPU running?
 
I find out my desktop is doing fine. But When I open inside keep cool and lying not up. I am wonder how doing that. lol. I am scan for anti-virus right now... I am going update to you as soon
 
If its running with the side off its probably a heat issue. Look at all the fans and see if there is a dust build up on them.
 
I already clean up dust out... see if work... :) I found one missing and now I plug back. See what's up with anti-virus still scan.
 
Computer was stop freeze but one thing. when anti-virus is scan for few min then turn restart itself. I dont know why.
