Computer is not Starting Up

I started up my computer the first time, and it emitted a short beep like it's supposed to. But I noticed one of my led and fans were not working so I shut down the computer at the screen where it asks: "Install Operating System."

After I plugged in the missing fan and turned on my computer, the led from the psu flashes once and then it does not boot. My mouse, lcd, and keyboard emit leds like they are working, but nothing else.

What's wrong?

I put everything back together and now my graphics card is flashing, too.

What do you mean by motherboard shorting? Does that mean my whole computer won't work ever again now? Can i fix this?

I would unplug what ever you plugged in and see if it makes it back to the (install operating system). If it does it probable means you plugged something up wrong. Where did you plug the fan and LCD into your talking about?

That was it! I unplugged my two fans and now it's working!

I guess the problem is that I don't know how to plug in my fans. My LED is still not working either. But at least the computer turns on and stays on.

I have this power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182032

Gigabyte EP35-DS3L

And a Raidmax Smilodon case. Can you help me out?

The Smilodon's exterior is supposed to light up around the front, but it doesn't. I plugged in the HDD LED, but no luck. I still have no clue how to plug in those two fans. Can I attach two fans to the same connector, and then plug the 4-pin into the motherboard, or not?

If you know you have the harddrive LCD on the right pins on the board, You might have the -+ backwards. Just upplug it and turn it around and see if it works. What kind of connectors do the fans have. Is it the little connector or the bigger molex connector. This one has both
