Computer is only recognizing 800mhz of my 1066mhz ram?

When i go into my bios and look at my ddr2 controller it only shows 533 667 and 800mhz and 800mhz is chosen and on cpu z it only shows my ram being a PC2-6500 or whatever the 800mhz but when i look on the ram it says 1066mhz and my motherboard says it supposrts ddr2 1066mhz??

your overclock may have something to do with this. what is your frontside bus set to?

It only supports 1066 if your running a Phenom. The Memory controller is on the processor.

Thats gay so unless i get a phenom i wont get the fullest out of my ram?

Not unless you overclock by using your bus instead of the X to get your memory speed up.
