computer is running slow but cant find whats wrong...

Let me preface this with I am new and ignrant. My computer is running very slowly but I cant figure out what is wrong

I have used multiple malware programs. I have run avg,alwill, spyware doctor, norton, mcafee, spybot, ad-aware, and others. When I run these they tell me that I am not infected.

I have defraged my hard drive.

I have downloaded 2 trial version registry repair programs. Registry Mechaninc adn Windows Registry Repai Pro. Both of these showed a bunch of errors. Windows pro gives you a repair option in the demo version so I used this. After this my computer was slower than ever. I then reversed all the changes made.

Can anybody help me out ?
 
Its also going to clean out your temp files and cache, memory dumps ect ect...! Your not going to need any of this stuff but you will have to re enter all your passwords!

Unless it was hardware related, I'd never pay for someone to fix my computer. You'll get ripped off.

How many processes are running? And it would be helpful to know what's taking up all your system's resources.

Considering time is money, and you value your time, I would say backup all your files and format versus calling a service man.
 
Have you tried downloading and running Hijackthis? run it and then post a log so we can take a look at it.
 
Tell us how many processes you have running! What are the specs of your computer? All of that is critical to making an accurate diagnosis.
