I just recently reinstalled windows and have kept my computer clean and tidy with nothing on it that I don't use daily. I recently upgraded from sucky AT&T 3.0 mbps to Mediacom 12.0 mbps internet. When plugged directly into the computer from the modem, it is zippy fast. But when coming through the NetGear Rangemax Duo Wireless router and in to the computer (but direct, not wireless) it doesn't maintain the same speed. As a matter of fact, it is as if I'm using freakin' dial-up, with constant buffering for news videos, youtube, and netflicks. Can something be done to improve this? Can I somehow split the signal coming from the modem and bypass the wireless router and go directly into the computer? I use the wireless to stream to my Wii and laptop in the other rooms. They show the same buffering. THANKS SO MUCH for your assistance!!
