Computer Isn't Booting. Please help.

My friend had me build him a computer. I have built somewhere around 20 computers and i refurbish laptops so I'm not a novice. His computer was working fine for about a month straight and he was gaming his heart out. Then he got a free Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7. Once that was installed it seemed fine for about a week. Following that his audio would stop working every time he quit TeamSpeak.He would then restart his computer and his audio would be back in business. He also mentioned that on random occasion his computer would not start when he pressed the power button. He said he had to turn off the computer, turn off the power switch on the power supply, press the power button so that any lingering power would be dispelled, and then turn the switch back on. Then the power button would work. He figured these circumstances were workable. Then about a week later he said that his computer would no longer boot into the OS. He turns his computer on, the splash screen is displayed, the Windows 10 logo appears with the message "Please wait" below it, and then the screen turns black (as the screen always does right after the Windows splash screen before the login screen/desktop loads up) but instead of carrying on to the login/desktop, the computer screen remains black and then it randomly restarts anywhere from 1-5 minutes after the windows splash logo disappears. When the computer restarts the same loop repeats. So I figured it could have been the hard drive (though it probably is something else but I figured changing the hard drive might help) so I mounted one of my spare hard drives that I know works. I installed Windows 10 for him and it was all good to go. I installed all the necessary drivers from online and waited to restart the computer for the first time until all of the drivers were installed. The computer was 100% up and running AND the initial installation media was ejected from the computer while it was fully functional. I then restarted it for the first time and BAM...back into the splash screen, black screen, restart loop. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this issue. Thanks!
 
What version of Windows 10 are you installing? What build number? As this was a common issue with older builds earlier in the year. Also, ensure you have BIOS settings correctly set for boot options etc.
 
I can't tell you how many times I've seen posts like this across the Internet about that Windows 10 upgrade crap. At this point it might be best to svae all the files, etc, reformat and either put 10 on there or go back to 7.

Personally I'm not touching 10 for a looooong time! 7 is gonna be my OS like XP was.

Alright the issue was a slowly failing graphics card. Every time I installed the graphics card driver was when the system really started to explode like described. Anyway, I really DO recommend the windows 10 upgrade. Windows 7 has no more Microsoft support so you won't get drivers that are compatible with your operating system in the soon coming future. Also, I was one of the die hard Windows 7 over upgrade believers because I was worried that windows 10 Wouldnt be optimized well and it would be a big advertisement. I can honestly say it isn't. It has grown on me tremendously and it is my favorite windows OS and I strongly recommend the upgrade. You get virtual desktops, update support, you can remove all advertisements within 60 seconds that actually ARE there upon install, AND windows 10 has compatibility drivers for certain things (a feature that was only on Linux OSs that I used to LOVE). Linux had some bells and whistles that I always wished windows had and the day truly is here. Go for windows 10 :)
 
As soon as you click the start button they have boxes trying to push you to buy apps on the windows store and such. And I guess I more mean adware with cortana (some like her but I prefer to not talk to my computer) and shit like that. And I HATED that when I searched my computer it included online results. That pissed me off. Easy to turn off online searches. Nonetheless, it's still very easy to disable all of these things. I just didn't like how the OS was set up by default but I loved that I could configure it to be my favorite OS
 
i have no problems with win10 either but you are a little premature in saying ms doesnt support win7 anymore.that support (for sp1) runs untill sometime in the spring of 2020.and yeah,those ads were easy to get rid of.
