I'm guessing this is the place for this post...

My computer has all of a sudden started to cut off completely when performing certain tasks like copying large amounts of data from cd's to hardrive, playing music, installing software, running anti-virus or adaware, and other things like that. As you might imagine this gets extreamly anoying.

Any suggestions are helpfull.

Thanks so much!

nah it wouldn't just start doing that... unless you just like installed a new video card or a hard drive.. OR you just overclocked and you're using too much volatage and you're not stable.. (not a big PSU expert)

ok, i have had the same problem, my guess is above, its either overheating or the psu failing due to powering too much, i have a 350w psu which powers way too much.....my cut out last night!

what is the best way to check temps?

I didn't add any new equimpent so I didn't figure it was the power supply. do they sometimes just go bad?

right, best bet, if you have an intel, get "intel active monitor" if not, get "everest" both work great but everest has more features!

ok i thi9nk i have sorted out the problem, my ram seemed to be causing some troucble, if you have new ram, check the tolerances and i have set miine back to auto which helped...

also did youre internet take agesss to open?

Your temps look okay, unless they really jump under load. If you're worried about your memory causing the problem, download and run memtest.
