Computer Keeps Cutting Out

Ok i have just assembled some old computer parts back together, everything was going well except the sound. I got around it by taking the sound card out. 3 hours later it for no reason cut out, couldn't start it up again. I thought it just overheated as i was playing a game but it had been left all day. Got on it this morning and still nothing except a quick flash of lights. The motherboard has a light on it which means that there is power going to the components. I just got it running for 1 minute and it cut off again. I got a couple more chances and i tried to do things on purpose to see if it cut out. I wiggled the Power cable and it turned off. I shock it and it turned off and i even took graphics, ram and loads more things out or replaced them and still nothing. My gut is telling me it is the power pack but then again why would there be power going to the motherboard. Any help would be great

It's either the PSU or perhaps it's killing out on temperature - does it start up for a second and then shut off? Or just no power whatsoever. I would first try applying some new thermal paste like Arctic Silver 5 between the CPU and heatsink if you think it may be temperature related. Otherwise I would swap the PSU..
 
It starts up for a couple of secounds. I doubt it is the tenpture as i checked it 2 days ago and it was running at 27c
