Motherboard - Foxconn K8M890M2MB-RS2H
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+
VideoCard - GeForce 210
RAM - 1 x 2GB
PSU - 350W 24
HDD - 80gb

The problem is that when you power it on it some times plays a bleep code which doesn't have a pattern to it it just keeps bleeping for 3 seconds and then pauses for 3 seconds and it just keeps going, but some times the computer will power up fine but while using it, the screen would just go blank and the computer would remain on the parts i have used are not brand new there bits and bobs i had lay around the house.

watch this video i recorded to get a better understanding :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPyKugV9HAY&list=UUE3kf91NWVB9NO4IWMSU3fQ

anyway i was just wondering if you have any idea what it could be and how to fix as I have tried most things for example - I have changed the PSU and the motherbored but that did not resolve anything as well as reset the CMOS also tied using the built in video card.

If you need anymore info about this computer to get a better understanding like a video about the bleeping i will make one

thanks :P

The video is marked as private btw, and this is just an assumption but is the computer an OEM made by HP, Dell, etc?

Since it's not the power supply or motherboard, I would suggest confirming that everything is plugged in correctly or trying to re-socket the RAM and the CPU. If those don't work you can try updating the BIOS.

No the computer was made by me if that's what you are asking and i have now made the video public so you can get a better understanding :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPyKugV9HAY

I have also managed to recored the bleep code :-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yQDDeN_92A

anyway the computer consists of :

Motherboard - Foxconn K8M890M2MB-RS2H

CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+

VideoCard - GeForce 210

RAM - Hynix 1Rx4 PC2-3200R-333-12
HYMP125R72P4-E3 AA-A 0531

PSU - FSP350-60THN-P 350W 24-PIN

HDD 1 - seagate barracuda 7200.7 ST380011AS 80GB

HDD 2 - Western digital wd400bd-08lra0

If you need any other info i am happy to find for you i jut really want to get it running

Thanks Ryan

Have you tried using the onboard video to see if it works correctly instead of the 210 video card? Your are losing video signal and thats why the screen is going blank. But the beeping seems to be a memory issue as long as there is no shorter beeps and the beeps are constant.

just tried using the built in video card again and it still does the bleep code and sometimes it no posts and does nothing apart from the fan's and HDD's spining up and yes the bleeps are constant. Im sure its the ram but i can't test it because i only have one stick of ram which fits the motherbored! what should i try?

A continuous beep can be tricky. Those caps by the CPU, the ones you had your fingers on. Do the tops look bulged out, not flat like the others?

I was gonna question that too but in the video it sounded like he said he replaced them?

yes they are bulged on the motherboard i have in at the moment but on my other motherboard i replaced the capacitors and it still has the same problem

I have just replaced the motherboard with a foxconn winfast 6100m2ma-rs2h motherboard and recorded what happens :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=si5apcnuIzo

also i would like to ask if anyone knows where i could get some compatible ram for cheap preferably 4 sticks of 1GB as i have 4 slot on this mother bored and the maximum is 4GB of ram so if anyone know where i could get it cheap with delivery to the UK for example somewhere like eBay could you please link me to it

Thanks ryan

Thats definately a memory issue. I would say that stick you have is shot. What you need to get is ddr2 800mhz ram, 4 x 1gb sticks. Ebay or any computer store near you should have it.
