Ok well I just got a new heatsink so its not overheating. I got A waaaaaaay better one so its not that. Its not the power supply because thats brand new too and it has more than enough power, I made sure of that. WHAT ELSE IS WRONG WITH THIS THING!? OH AND, I replaced the RAM. Because the first sticks of RAM I bought were faulty, these work great. Whats going on!? Any info you need just ask.

The computer randomly restarts. Thats all, not at a certain time, nothing.

PLEASE help me.

Random restarts are typically bad hardware or overheating. If your not getting a BSOD then it's more likely a over heating issue. Have you actually checked your temps? Your CPU is not the only thing that can over heat, any componet can. Just because you have a new heat sink doesn't mean your not overheating, your CPU could still be getting too hot. Plus if you don't have enough air circulating out of your case then your just blowing the hot air around in which will cause it to over heat.

Actaullly, it could too be the PSU. if it is a faulty one, then it may keep jumping and that restarts your computer. Other then that, I would also say overheating.

Download core temp, look at your temps. Just because you have a new great HS/Fan doesn't mean it is installed/working correctly. This sounds like overheating or faulty PSU.

Well when I first turn the computer on its at aboutttt 45c and when im playing a game or something it shoots up to about 60-65.

i think you could not put the RAM,
on the slot...

Plz check the RAM,unplug the and put it again.

and check the motherboard, if there is dust so clean your mother boad with a brush..

I'm going to lean more towards overheating. According to Intel's spec's the CPU shouldn't get above 61oC under a full load. I'd look into the heatsink being seated properly to your CPU and make sure you've got plenty of room around your case to allow for airflow (i.e. don't have your case in a box, lol).

Unless you are > 30% Overclocked or the cpu is getting massivly over volted you should not be at those temps. Are you overclocking? If not reseat your heat sink. The quads should have a line of thermal grease applied across the heat spreader not a dot. If you are overclocking you may want to turn it down and see if that helps. But, I can run my q6600 at 70c without a problem =/

What RAM are you running?

4gigs of DDR2800 CROSAIR ram. I cannot find the link. I did NOT over clock but maybe the voltage is too high? I didn't touch anything but maybe the default is too high?

There is ALOT of space outside the computer but on this inside it madness. The power suppy has like 30 wires coming out of it and its not modular. So theres is not much room inside the case.
