Computer Loading Problem

When I try booting up my computer nothing shows up on screen and the floppy drive keeps making noise. I thought it was the harddrive and I switched plugs to my D drive to make it my primary but still nothing shows up on screen when it usually does say something like "Please put proper..something". Is it still my harddrive problem? Even the D drive, even though something showed up on screen even when I plugged it in last time? Also I noticed that the HDD light on my case to rather stay solid rather than blinking when loading things. What may be the problem? I already ordered a new harddrive b/c of the apparent noise that was coming out of my harddrive (C: Drive). Is it finally dead? Or is something wrong with other stuff in the computer b/c when I try plugging in the D: Drive in to make primary nothing shows up on screen at all when it used to. Please help!

I'm sitting here trying to figure out a way to give you some advise, but nothing comming to me.

Give me a more step-by-step of exactly is going on.

Have you tried resting your bios?

All I can say is that nothing shows up on screen and my bootdisk which is my floppy keeps trying to boot something. I think my harddrive is dead. What I am trying to get at is if my harddrive is finally dead. The reason why I am kinda questioning the fact that my harddrive is dead is because previously I put all the C drive plugs on my D drive plugs, and something actually showed up on screen with an error. Now when I do the same nothing shows up on screen. So its either that both drives are dead or something else is not working properly in my computer.

If you're trying to boot from a boot disk in the floppy drive and it's not working, then it's not your hard drive. When you boot from a boot disk, it shouldn't do anything w/ the hard drive. I'd almost wonder if something is wrong with your mobo.

You still haven't told me if you can reset your BIOS

Well it did the samething last time and I unplugged my harddrive plug and plugged it back in and it started to work again, so I am guessing its the harddrive.

I forgot to mention that I was on the computer and everything just crashed (computer just turned off)

Any help or suggestions? I know its not my graphic card problem since I switched graphic cards around and I know its not the RAM since I just bought it like a month ago. What else can be the problem? I am just guessing it would be the Harddrive. But its weird though that nothing shows up on screen even though it should to atleast display the error as it used to.
