Computer Locking Up

On most computers you can hit a key that will allow you to change boot order for that instance, usually F12 key on a retail motherboard. There are some people that boot to cd's on a decent basis so it would be beneficial to them to change boot order in bios.

So for this project, just use the keyboard to change the order temporarily. And you see no benefit to changing the order permanently? My thought (limited knowledge), was that if cd drive is first, then it would go to hd, but we're talking in milliseconds. Is my thinking wrong?

Basically yeah. As long as hdd is set for second boot then it's only a matter of a second before it boots to the hdd if no bootable cd is loaded.
