Hi just wondering what you personally think is the best computer make and why?
such as:

Dell
Compaq
Packard Bell
HP
Acer
E Machines
E System
Sony
Advent
Apple
Other.. Please specify

Personally I like Packard Bell i have had others and i think its the best it has never let me down.:D

I Prefer Hp.

Ive had mine for 3 years now and no problems whatsoever...Its run everything ive thrown at it since i upgraded it a little.

Yeah its not a powerhouse but it does what i want i want it to so im happy.
 
i like Fujitsu Siemens... not the most popular of makes and not one that would seem a good PC company, but i bought my laptop from them just over a year ago now, even though it is fairly outdated now i have had no isses with it :)

where as Dell is my least favorite as i have fairly old dell now, but every 6 months the HDD would break, i ended up going and buying one :P and the motherboard cant handle too much stress either, it died on me when i was trying to run iTunes and CoD:UO :S
 
Apple computers are very high quality, but I don't know about overall performace(particually gamming) or compatability. Never heard of E System or Advent, and Packard Bell hasn't been offered in the states since about 1997 :P Compaq and HP are basically identical systems, and normally aren't too bad. However, mine did seem to act up a bit the last few weeks I had it. Dells...don't even get me started!

If I had to get a prebuilt computer now, I'd go with a Compaq...
 
i used packard bell, hp and compaq and i will say that compaq for looks and hp for quality. the packard bell i got back in 1994 if you count that lol they dont make computer at least here anymore.
 
I hate them all. Although I probably hate HP/Compaq the least, I will never again buy a prebuilt computer.

For laptops, definitely HP/Compaq, Sonys and Acers are pretty good too.
 
none, custom build all the way... not one of those companies can take my money and spend it in a decent way, get good parts and provide a good service, not one.
 
Now if we get into laptops, that's a whole other story. I have used some Dell laptops and they seem pretty fair. As long as you don't get the cheapest on, you should be fine. But as for desktops... Read my above post.

And Dragon, I am with you 100%, but if you HAD to choose a prebuilt... :P
 
Cheers all i used too have a dell before my PB and i had the same problem with it killing HDDS

I own a E system laptop also and think its great never had and problems but i have read reviews sayin they are crap.. Any1 know anything about them?

Gateway for prebuilts or laptops. Always higher quality than Dell or HP, but also more expensive.
 
i used to have a packad bell when we first brought one it kept stuffing up and going crazy and i had to like return it 10 times but now technology has improve
 
acer laptops are really good for the price, i have one and it is sweet.

as for desktops, hp/compaq are really good
