guys, I don't know too much about computers, but am starting to get into them a bit. Surfing sites like YouTube, I have earned a bit on parts, builds etc, but the buids I am mainly seeing are for gaming builds. I am NOT a PC gamer, and want to make my first budget build, I upload frequently to YT, so would like render speeds to be decent, and obviously just want it to be as fast as I can get for the money. I trust you guys a lot more than I do myself, this is what I came up with, let me know what you guys think and any changes you would recomend, budget- $450

AMD A10 5800k
msi fm2-a75ma-e35
8 GB Ram (haven't decided company, any help appreciated)
Western digital 500GB
Bit Fenix Prodigy casing
430w Corsair

any responses/help is much appreciated with the build, parts, or any tips.
thanks guys-

Henry

Personally, I wouldn't go AMD for video rendering I would go Intel. For aroud $550 you can build a Xeon system.

I wouldn't take this advice.

For budget systems, AMDs are good options and are absolutely fine for rendering. A Xeon system on a $550 budget is just nonsense. Most Xeons are around $200 new alone and then you have to squeeze the rest of parts of the parts into $350 or so. Not going to happen. This guy's budget is $450, so recommending Xeons is completely unrealistic.

You've not made a bad start with your build, I'll suggest a few things though.

I'd drop the 5800K and the FM2 motherboard and instead go for an FX-4300 or an FX-6300 with an AM3+ board. A 970 chipset AM3+ board would be ideal.

RAM, 8GB is good - G.Skill, Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, Samsung - all good brands. Make sure you get at least 1600MHz.

You may want an NVIDIA graphics card for editing, since the CUDA cores on the NVIDIA graphics card can help speed up the rendering. If you can squeeze one into your budget, look at the GTX 650 or 650 Ti or something similar (not too sure what NVIDIA offers in the low-end market since I don't buy them). It should run OK on the 430W PSU, but maybe a 500W would be a better idea (CX500).

I'd suggest a 1TB HDD too since they are not much more expensive than a 500GB.

The only problem is OP looks like want to has min-itx case, which I don't manage to find anything for FX. Or even with mATX, only has mobo with 760G
