Computer No Longer Boots With Gfx Card Installed

I got a Sapphire Radeon 5770 this Christmas and it worked fine up until now. Yesterday, I moved my computer over to another case that I got and everything seemed to be working perfectly. As I was playing a game (Mafia II) I decided to get up and get a drink. As I was about to sit down, the computer instantaneously shut down. I pressed the power button and the case lights and fans came on for a split second and then shut off. I opened the case up after disconnecting the power and connected another PSU to the main mobo power and pressed the power button and the fans ran. As I was unplugging the PSU from the board, I brushed up against the graphics card and noticed it was quite hot. I unplugged it from the original power supply and removed it from the PCI-E slot. I then plugged the original PSU into the motherboard main and pressed the power button. It worked. I tried putting the card back in and got the same result as before. The 4th time I hit the power button this time however, absolutely nothing happened. I unplugged the card completely and the computer would still not boot up. I unplugged the main mobo power and plugged it back in and it ran fine.

So right now I'm stuck with integrated graphics. I did notice that before this incident the computer would occasionally crash under heavy load and would display tan vertical bars across the screen. Did my card completely burn up?

....that psu is probably your problem, it probably folded under the load of the 5770, grab an antec or corsair unit for more money... 30 bucks for a psu is just way too little money for it to be any good

If the computer won't boot with the card installed either the card is bad or the slot is. You will have to do some diagnosing.
