Computer not starting

I connected my previous PSU, a working 200W, to a computer I had. It's got a CPU, 4Mb of SODIMM memory and integrated GPU. I tried shorting the panel PWR pins in order to start it, and I tried several time. Didn't work, suddenly after trying once again I get 3 beeps from the mobo speaker. And yes I have a monitor connected to the computer, and the light on it didn't blink, it was constantly on. Didn't get any picture on the monitor though.

That sucks, I'll have to make sure it's in place. Will probably get some cheap RAM from a friend, though.

Solved the problem, the SODIMM memory is dedicated to the intergrated SiS GPU. :P Gonna have to get me some cheap 168-pin RAM now.

Just a question, but how old is the mobo to be using SODIMM in a desktop machine?

The mobo is from an old HP Brio from ca. 1998-1999. The SODIMM is used, according to the manual, by the SiS GPU. And people say you can't put more memory to a GPU, well I can. From 4Mb to 8Mb. :P

That you can, I was just wondering cause I hadn't seen a board use SODIMM in a long long LONG time.
