Hi, when im playing my game the game minimizes and shows a lil blue window that says Processor has reached its maximum temperature, and that only happens while im playing baldurs gate, it also happens on my gfs computer while she is playing that game, why does it over heat? thanks

I meant Intel or AMD. But since it's and Intel (I'm assuming, unless your OC'ed extremely high with your AMD) they are known to have overheating issues with the Prescott cores. You can find out what core you have by downloading CPU-Z, click on Download latest version in the upper left hand corner. If it is a Prescott, that is why you are over heating, that and possibly bad airflow in the case/a lot of dust. To fix this you can get an aftermarket heatsink/fan which will lower your temperatures paired with some Arctic Silver 5. What temperature is it at when it does that?

I dont know? where do u check the temperature, it has this thing in the front of the computer that says 88 and 108. and when ever it heats up it says like 93 and 119?

Well, if that's celcius than turn off your computer now. That will fry your CPU. Also, put your hand near the CPU fan and see if it feels really hot. Then check to make sure your CPU heatsink is on there right, and tht dust isnt clogging everything up.

I dont know if its celcius or the other thing lol but i touched it behind the fan and its just warm, it only heats up while playing this one game baldurs gate and no other game. but when it gives me the message i close out of the game and stuff and just use the internet the numbers go down 2 110 and back 2 88? its wierd.

I've never played Baldur's gate before, so i'm not too sure about it, but it's possible that the game is particularly CPU intensive, as compared to your other, video intensive games. In this case, it would be putting more stress on your CPU than the other games, causing it to heat up more.

Those gauges on the front of the computer are notoriously unreliable, download a program like SpeedFan, Motherboard Monitor or Everest and see what that says.

It's also possible that whatever program is giving you the overheating message has been misconfigured, and giving you a temperature warning when infact your temperatures are fine.
