Computer parts needed to put one together

Yeah sorry if this isn't the right section to post but i was wondering after buying all your parts such as the computer case and processor and everything building your computer from scractch is there any necessary parts i need to build one? Or do they just come with the individual parts you order such as www.newegg.com . im getting most of my parts from there. Thanx for the help.

Are you asking that if you buy all your parts separately, is there anything else you need?

If so, most of the time the answer is no, but not always. For your hard drive and CD/DVD-ROM(s), they don't always come with jumpers, but if you have old ones laying around, thats not a problem. Motherboards normally come with IDE cables, unless you're buying recertified or open box. Processors normally come with heat sinks, but again, no guarantee. Cases should come with screws, as well.

I think that's it, so just make sure that all your parts come with these items, and order them if not. Otherwise you will be fine.

If you go to the specs on an item description on Newegg, the last item tells you everything it comes with. Also, they normally have a picture of the included items as well.

Seems fine to me. You could get a faster, cheaper DVD drive though. Maybe a NEC.
