After scanning my network with Nmap, I determined that there are several ports open. The port I decided to investigate was port 135/tcp. It is used for remote access and remote management. The port is used by Messenger Service and is exploited in popup net send messenger spam. There are several vulnerabilities. If left open, it needs to be monitored heavily. If a hacker were to access the port, he could access the entire computer system.
