Computer powers up strange.

Hi

I recently had a PSU blow and it took out the Motherboard with it.

I have replaced these two parts and anything works great.

Although when I press the power button the computer begins to power up, shuts down for a couple of seconds, then powers up and starts booting.

I cant figure out why this is. The boot order is correct, I dont have any discs in the DVD drive, there are no external drives or USB drives attached and I am sure that the front panel power and switch connectors are in the correct places.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi I have the computer in my signature.

Yes the brass standoffs are in the right places and screwed down fully.

I just purchased Corsair AX 750 modular power supply and I noticed the same thing starts up and after 2-3 seconds seems to stop (at which point I thought oh s----) but powers back up and all seems to be well.

Turn computer off.
Unplug power cable.
Remove motherboard battery.
Hold down power button for 30 secs.
Replace motherboard (CMOS) battery.
Plug power cable in.
Power up and enter BIOS and re-set as required.
Restart.
