computer problem/question

my cousin likes taking things apart and putting back together,he took apart his gateway computer cleaned it out and put it back together..Everything is hooked up right its a fairly simple computer inside,but when you start it up nothing happens,,the computer technically powers up,but the monitor screen is blank,the keyboard doesnt light up...like it doesnt want to boot...What's the problem? and what can we do?

Hence the phrase.. "if not broken, why try and fix it"
It's most likely something just got loose during the process of taking it apart and putting it back together. Hopefully, it didn't get shocked in the process because if it did, most likely something got fried. Just make sure if the cables or anything was taken out, it's put back right and in the right direction/slot.
