Computer Problem: Screen Vibrates

Hi,

I just got some new hardware installed (Radeon 9800 Pro, AMD 64 3000+ and a Pentium 4) and it didn't do this right after I installed it (Or maybe I didn't notice) but recently, the screen will vibrate. I don't know if it's my monitor or not but is there anything that I can do to fix this?

Thank you.

What resolution are you running and what refresh rate do you have it set at? Does it do this constintly, just a boot-up, or periodically?

Also you do have the monitor drivers installed correct? it doen't say "plug and play monitor" or anything liek that does it?

Look to see where the power outlet is in comparision to the monitor. If the power line in the wall runs close to the monitor it will produce EMI and "vibrate" your screen. To test this move your monitor to a different location.

What display device do you have? Are there any magnets or anything nearby? :)

Also it could be caused by less power. Do you have some electric heater connected to the same outlet?

There isn't any magnets or anything near my monitor. My power strip is the only thing running to that outlet and connected to the power strip is my stuff for my computer. It only vibrates sometimes, for example, it's not vibrating right now...

Try to find a link between different events. See what's turned on when the image vibrates.
Once I had a problem with a monitor: the image's hue sometimes randomly changed. Sounds incredible, but the problem's source was a faulty streetlight bulb near my building... The hue on the monitor remained constant after that bulb was replaced.
