Hi i just build my own computer for about $1500. Everything is brand new
I have a AMD64 +3700, Asus K8n4 deluxe, 2x512 mb ddr 400 corsair value, Ati radeon X600 pro 256mb pci express. Aspire 680W, an 250 gb hard drive, cd burner, dvd burner. When i plug everything together i can turn it on put nothing shows up on my screen. I need help badly

do your fans start, do you light turn on. Does the hdd spin up.

Try removing and resitting each part.

Ensure you have the X600 pushed in all the way, they can look like they're when they aren't

have you installed an OS? have you bought a good monitor/video card?
He doesn't need an OS to boot the machine.

Make sure you plugged in the ATX12 and if the PSU has the extra 4 pin to allow it to be used in a 24p motherboard make sure it's plugged in as well.

P.s. Make sure that you also have the card installed correctly like said by apj.

1. Check the ATX12
2. Does power show up on the motherboard power indicator LED?

My fan on the video works and don't get any reply. The power indicator led is on. I tried to use someone else video card but that didn't work either. Any ideas

Try booting it with only 1 stick of ram, if it works - then try putting the other ram back, this way you could isolate the problem.

check the ram banks to make sure the are seated in well b/c if had a problem like that before and it was just ram related, it may also be that your bigger sized ram stick is not in bank 1.....if nothing is wrong with ram check video card

I had this problem...come to find out the 'value ram' was not dual channel AND I had it in dual channel slots. I changed which slots the ram was in and it worked..amazing. What does your bios on the board say about this, there is definitely troubleshooting options

the same thing happened to me when i switched computer cases and it turned out i fried the motherbard
